How to play
Globegate is a free daily world-knowledge game with three short modes. Each takes a couple of minutes, and everyone in the world gets the same puzzles each day.
Gate 01 · Span
You get three prompts, like “Name a volcano” or “Name a type of bread”. Type answers — each one drops a pin on the globe where it comes from. You have 40 seconds per prompt.
- +10 for each answer
- +25 for each new country
- +100 for each new continent
- +1 per 200 km between your two farthest pins
The trick: spread out. Five answers from five continents beats twenty from one country. More about Span →
Gate 02 · Whereabouts
Five clues about a place on Earth. Spin the globe, tap where you think it is and lock it in. Inside the right country scores the full 1,000 points; otherwise points drop the farther away you are. After each guess you learn a fact about the answer. More about Whereabouts →
Gate 03 · Passport
One country, 60 seconds, five pages to stamp: a city, a food or drink, a famous person, a landmark or natural wonder, and something cultural. 200 points per stamp, plus a time bonus if you fill all five. More about Passport →
