Frequently asked questions
Is Globegate free?
Yes. The three daily puzzles are free forever, with no ads and no account. Globegate Unlimited is an optional one-time purchase (A$10.99) for endless extra rounds.
When do new puzzles come out?
Every day at midnight UTC — that’s 10 or 11am in Sydney, 7 or 8pm in New York and midnight or 1am in London. Everyone in the world gets the same puzzles that day.
Do I need an account?
No. Your streaks and scores are saved in your browser on your device. To move them to another device, use “Copy my progress code” in Settings.
What if I spell an answer wrong?
Close spellings get a “Did you mean…?” suggestion — tap it or press Enter again to accept. Accents and capital letters don’t matter.
My answer was right but it wasn’t accepted. Why?
Our answer lists are big but not infinite. If you think we missed something, tell us and we’ll add it — the lists grow every week.
What does Globegate Unlimited include?
Endless rounds of Span, Whereabouts and Passport drawn from a large pool of prompts (separate from the daily puzzles), plus new content as it’s added. Your license works on up to 5 devices.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and keep it. There’s nothing to cancel.
I bought Unlimited — how do I use it on another device?
Open Globegate on that device, tap “Restore purchase”, and paste the license key from your receipt email.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, where the Australian Consumer Law gives you one — for example if Unlimited doesn’t work as described. See the Refund Policy for details.
Does Globegate work on my phone?
Yes — it runs in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. You can add it to your home screen like an app.
